Lizette Alvarez
5th Grade Teacher
With over eight years of experience in education, I have had the privilege of teaching kindergarten, 4th, 5th, and 6th grades, fostering a love for learning across diverse age groups. I hold a bachelor's degree in psychology, a multiple subject teaching credential, and a master's degree in education, which have equipped me with a robust foundation in child development, curriculum design, and instructional strategies. My passion for innovation in education led me to design an educational game during my graduate studies and develop a year-long professional development program focused on integrating technology into the classroom. Further demonstrating my commitment to advancing educational technology, I successfully secured a technology grant for the school where I worked previously, enabling transformative learning opportunities for students and staff alike.
Outside of work, I enjoy moments spent with my husband, our three amazing children—two daughters and a son—and our beloved pets, which include two dogs and a cat. I’m also passionate about traveling, as it allows me to explore new places and create lasting memories with my family. These experiences bring joy, inspiration, and balance to my life, enriching both my personal and professional journey.
I deeply admire my students’ curiosity, resilience, and eagerness to grow—qualities that inspire me to continually improve as an educator. At iEmpire, I value the collaborative spirit among my fellow teachers. The REAL Journey program stands out for its commitment to fostering student-centered learning and empowering educators to make a meaningful impact. My goal is to help every student recognize their potential by providing engaging, technology-enhanced lessons that prepare them for a dynamic future. By embracing creativity and continuous learning, I strive to contribute to the RJA mission of creating pathways for student success and lifelong achievement.
