Julio Morales

5th Grade Teacher

Hello! My name is Mr. Morales, and teaching has always been my passion and purpose. Growing up in Calexico, California, I discovered early on that I loved helping others learn. What began as “playing school” as a child turned into tutoring elementary students during middle school. By high school, I took my interest a step further by completing a project in Early Childhood Education, which opened doors to becoming a classroom aide and substitute teacher. At age 24, I took the leap and became a teacher intern—a decision that solidified my commitment to education and community impact.

This marks my 18th year as a teacher, specializing in 5th and 6th grades, and I couldn’t be more proud to be part of the iEmpire family. My own educational journey began in the Imperial Unified School District, where I attended K-12. From there, I attended Imperial Valley Community College before transferring to San Diego State University, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Literature. I later completed my teaching credentials at Cal State, Fullerton.

Being part of the iEmpire family allows me to give back to a community that helped shape me, and I take great joy in fostering a classroom environment where curiosity thrives, growth is celebrated, and learning becomes a lifelong love. Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time with family, visiting amusement parks, attending concerts, and cheering for the Dallas Cowboys!
