Claudia Garcia

3rd Grade Teacher

Hello, my name is Ms. Garcia. I have been in the field of education for about 8 years. Prior to becoming an Elementary School teacher I was a Preschool teacher. I taught preschool for 4 years, and I am currently in my 4th year as an elementary school teacher. In 2018, I graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies, and in 2021, I graduated from the University of Redlands with a Master of Arts in Education: Learning and Teaching. Currently, I am a 3rd Grade Teacher and also a part of the iEmpire Academy Instructional Leadership Team.

Being a teacher is not my only title; when I am not being called Ms. Garcia in the classroom, I am being called Mommy at home. I am blessed with two amazing little boys who keep me beyond busy at home. I cherish family time and making memories with them. As a family, we love going on adventures and exploring new places. I also spend a lot of my free time watching sports, especially attending baseball games.

Being an educator is one of the most rewarding careers as I get to watch them grow and meet goals they set for themselves. At our school, we shape students to be very goal-oriented, whether it’s short-term goals or long-term. Students at our school strive to be the best they can be and their perseverance is something I admire most about them. Through all circumstances, they always give 100 percent effort. At iEmpire and RJA we focus not only on academic achievement but also on building character, which is a goal in our classroom, to do our best always, even when no one is watching. Our students, no matter how little or big, learn to be good citizens to prepare them for a bright future.
