Karla De La Pena

 

I am about to graduate with my bachelor's degree in Education and Liberal Studies. I have been working at iEmpire's after-school program for almost 2 years. I just recently got accepted into Teach for America.

 
I love to journal and reflect on how I can better myself. I love to draw and color. I also really enjoy playing video games. I also have a pet rabbit. 

I love the students’ energy at iEmpire. They are always so excited to try new things and learn about each other. I always maintain high expectations for my kids. They are capable of so much if they just believe and have support.
