Carmela Silva: Counselor

Hi everyone! I'm thrilled to be back as your counselor for another year. This marks my 4th year in this role, but I've actually been working with students in education for over 12 years. I'm a local, born and raised in San Bernardino, and a proud graduate of San Gorgonio High School. My background includes a BS in Human Services and an MA in Counseling with a PPS Credential.

On the personal side, I have 4 wonderful children - 3 boys and 1 girl - who definitely keep me on my toes! And I'm incredibly proud to now call myself a Navy Sailor Mom. When I'm not at iEmpire Academy, you'll probably find me teaching Group Exercise and Dance at the Highland YMCA or cheering on my kids at their various sporting events.

I'm really looking forward to a fantastic year ahead!
